New Year's Resolution
thoughts on the challenge (get back to this)
Into 2025
These last 6 months has been probably the most productive I have been in a decade. Not only am i writing again, but I've been drawing too. I want to try and continue this momentum as long as I can, try and build a real habit from them both.
I've dedicated two hours every morning to writing. I want to work on a couple of open stories, get them polished and up, to work through the little tangles that are left.
I wrote 50k in both novel and world building at the end of the last year and I really want to have something to show for it. While I write because it's enjoyable to do so, I want to have something to which to show others, something complete to share.
I'm not exactly social, which has been both a blessing and a curse. No one expects anything from me, so i'm not disappointing anyone just hoarding all these wips. But I want to try and put myself out there and see if there's anyone out there who wants to vibe with me; I'd love to find an audience for my weird little stories.
In the afternoons, I'm trying to complete a sketch everyday. at this point, I'm still just at the sketch everyday, but i want to fill one sketch book every month. I've seen such an improvement from October to today, and doodling out the little scenes from my stories seems to help me find the motivation the next day to open them up and work on them. I've set up a side-tumblr blog and blusky account just for the sketches as a way to really hold myself to doing it daily.
They're not good, but they don't have to be. the point i want tot focus on this year is jsut do it every day
