Sol Magic

Sol:

  • Target: Magic that interacts primarily with existing non-magical matter and energies falls under this branch.
  • Specialists: Those that specialize in this form of magic are called Melders. The first mages of this specialty to gain recognition were warrior mages. Now, developing areas of the world see Melders who never reach the battlefield, instead waging war on the trade market with their innovations.
  • Attire: 
  • X will use magical energy to manipulate non-magical matter, changing the state of the matter it interacts with do many things. To these mages, understanding the non-magical world is all the more essential.
  • X are the least likely to be far removed from reality, though some might not necessarily agree. Knowledge of magic changes one’s perspective, even if they remain knowledgeable about other topics.

    Capacity:

  • Typical Color:  Red, Orange Red
  • Specialists: Macromage. 
  • Macromages are those who manipulate non-magic matter with great strength and breadth. They are even capable of reshaping a battlefield with their magic if their fuel is great enough and they are skilled enough.
  • The Capacity branch is flashy and many combat mages specialize in it so that they can damage living targets. Seekers do not need to use this branch because Blightbeasts are pseudo-life, but many combat mages come from service in the military or only take Seeker contracts in their off time to make a living, and therefore these mages use the magic they are most familiar with, even if it is less efficient.
  • On a rare occasion, a mage strategist will take to using this branch to reconfigure entire battlefields to suit their tactical need.

    Veracity:

  • Typical Color:  Orange, Orange Red
  • Specialists: Micromage. They rarely go by this title because mages who specialize in Veracity will generally have more specific goals.
  • Micromages are those who make subtle changes to non-magical matter, with precise goals in mind. They can change the state of matter with the right intervention.
  • It takes significant energy and skill to wield magic with such precision. Their skills are often 
  • Micromages are required to have a deep knowledge of chemistry to effect the changes they want.

    Synergy:

  • Typical Color:  Orange Yellow, Orange Red
  • Specialists: Synergist.
  • This sub-branch uses knowledge from Vira branches. Specialist mages with knowledge of specific magical interactions with non-magical bodies will sustain these interaction much longer than is usually the case for other branches.
  • Enchanters and many engineers belong in this category. It is a branch that has seen great interest in recent history for its usefulness in manufacturing and technological innovation.
  • One cannot know everything, so there are fields that hold specific interest.
  • Fields: Enchanting (Enchanter), Fabrication (Fabricator), Lighthreading (Lightweaver), Windchanneling (Windchanneler), Synerclast (Synerclasts)
  • Enchanter: Enchanters apply long lasting magical augmentations to objects.

  • Synerclast: Synerclasts use offensive magic in the Synergy branch to launch targeted strikes at their opponents. This magic can is more difficult to master than other combat spells and has situational advantage.
  • Agrodept: Agrodepts specialize in cultivation of crops. Usually, they oversee farming efforts. Some Agrodept scholars study ways to improve farming efforts.
