United Exodian Systems

The United Exodian Systems are a collection of star systems under the leadership of the Exodians, the descendants of the first Humans to arrive in the Proxima Galaxy. Located at the southeastern edge of the galaxy, and bordering the Avalian Star Kingdom to the north, the UES is the most recent star nation to step onto the galactic stage. Despite their relative youth and small size compared to the other powers of the galaxy, the UES has nonetheless managed to rise to become an influential player in both galactic politics, as well as exploration efforts into the uncharted regions of the galaxy.

Structure

The UES is lead by a President, who is democratically elected from among the most noteworthy candidates. Additionally, the President is assisted by the Treasurer (oversees the economy), the Minister of Defence (oversees the military), and the Minister of Research (oversees all major scientific develpoments). Beneath them, the governance of the UES is divided into Sector Governors (responsible for overseeing star secotrs), and Planetary Governors (responsible for overseeing planets).

Culture

The UES greatly values cooperation and drawing on knowledge and experience from a diverse range of sources. This is largely born from the highly varied backgrounds of the original Human settlers that participated in the New Horizon initiative, as well as their ongoing efforts to maintain good diplomatic relations with their interstellar neighbours. This can be seen all across the systems controlled by the UES, with many planets developing their own unique cultural elements, both imported from Old Earth and adopted from other star nations.

The UES also maintains a strong tradition of exploration and discovery, both within their own borders and beyond. Like many elements of Exodian culture, this can be traced back to their origins asexplorers and colonists, with their desire to explore the unknown being what lead them to the Proxima Galaxy in the first place. Naturally, this cultural trait can also be traced back to their Human ancestors, many of whom took part in the New Horizon initiative out of a sense of adventurous curiosity. This drive to explore can be seen in many of the cultural aspects of the UES, such as their focus on technologies designed to aid in exploration, as well as their immense fascination with the history of the galaxy.

Demography and Population

The population of the UES is primarily made up of Exodians, though other races, such as the HalaiVeraxi, and Mana'hi can also be found here.

Territories

The UES occupies several systems along the southeastern edge of the galaxy, with their first worlds having been granted to them by the Halai.

Military

The UES has a moderately sized military, consisting of a large fleet, an airforce, armoured vehicles, and infantry. Within the galaxy, the UES military is renowned for its adaptability and ability to operate in a wide variety of environments.

Technological Level

The UES possess technologies on par with those used by the rest of the galaxy, including starships, interstellar communication, and advanced robotics. However, they've become especially well known for their skill with technologies related to exploration and colonisation, including survey drones, colony ships, advanced science vessels, and vehicles designed to operate in a wide variety of environments.

Foreign Relations

The UES strives to maintain positive relations with their fellow Free Systems Alliance members, particularly the Halai and Veraxi, due to the role they played in aiding their ancestors when they first arrived in the galaxy.

Agriculture & Industry

Agriculture is typically focused on planets with high levels of arable land, and is supported by hydroponic farms across the various colonised worlds and habitats of the UES.

Trade & Transport

Like all star nations, the UES makes use of the Starways for transportation and trade between worlds.

Education

All citizens of the UES recieve their education at their local Education Center. Those seeking more advanced education can apply at one of the many colleges and universities found throughout the UES, though the cost of doing so is often high.
