Proxima Worldember 2024

Another year, another Worldember to look forward to! While I've focused all of my previous entries on my main fantasy setting of Taeva, I figured I try something a bit different this year and show some love to my science-fantasy setting, Proxima. Among several things, most of my writing will be focused on the following areas:

• The races and people of the setting.
• The star-nations and other organisations of the setting.
• The magic system (Psionics), and its associated abilities.
• The technology, particularly anything to do with ships and FTL travel.

Week 2 Update: Updated the homepage description, and created a World Primer.

Inspiration: In preparation for the coming challenge, I've looked to a number of movies and games for inspiration, including Stellaris, Warframe, Heat Signature, Astral Ascent, Titan A.E., and original Star Wars movies (pretty much the definitive example of Science Fantasy).

Week 4: A while back, I've joined the Worldbuilding subreddit, both to find inspiriation for my worlds as well as to bounce ideas off of others and recieve feedback, and I will continue to use the feedback from this community to help with my worldbuilding for this challenge. I work from home, so most of my writing will probably be during the evening. Thankfully, I'm still able to get out regularly, especially since I still have some final christmas shopping left to do.
