Kalikori

Overview

Kalikori, the second planet from the sun of the Sekhmeri System, is a medium sized planet with standard atmosphere and several continents with sprawling oceans. Vibrant and having the most diverse ecosystems of the system, Kalikori boasts a wide variety of natural resources and is a prime location for colonies.  

History

System Lord Occupation

When the System Lord Bastena invaded the Talax System, she spread her influence into the nearby systems, including the Sekhmeri System. Bastena left one of her local governors, Mok'ar Sekhar in charge of its daily operations. Many Tabaxi where brought from the newly renamed Bastea to oversee the new colony and to work as harvesters of the system's natural resources.   Sehkar set up his base on Kalikori along with farms and mines. Rumors circulated that Sekhar began to experiment without Bastea's knowledge, though no evidence has been found yet.  

Crown of Bastea

100 years ago, when the Alliance ran the System Lords out of the sector, the Crown of Bastea took on oversight of the System. 30 years ago, the first colony was finally established and inhabited on Kalikori for the first time since System Lord occupation.   Egoria was founded by the Royal Astronomical Society to reclaim the space once ruled by the System Lords and explore new biomes and wildlife. Egoria's primary mission is to establish critical infrastructure and research outposts, but many have come to Egoria to start a new life.

Founded on the river banks with fertile grassland around it, Egoria has grown into a small village colony. Run by an elected governing council, the colony has begun to gain momentum as the harvests have finally come into their own and some of the old mines and quarries have been opened to establish local industry and exports.   Notable locations within the colony itself include:

Kokiri Orbital Station

Level 1 - Transit Station

Planetary Shuttles dock at the main transit level of the station to pick up and drop off passengers. Public Interstellar Ships must dock at the station and passengers take planetary shuttles down. Ship docking is provided for craft not eligible to travel to the planet. Permits for planetary transport can be requested at the Transit Authority Offices on the station or in the Administrative offices in Egoria.  

Level 2a - Observation Deck

The observation deck has a variety of services and amenities while waiting for passage or as a break from the planet.

Level 2b - Cargo Ring

Kokiri station holds cargo both for import and export. All cargo must be scanned and pass customs inspection as decreed by the Crown, and contraband is confiscated for transport or destruction.  

Level 3 - Administrative Deck

The administrative deck holds the offices and work stations for the operations and security of the orbital station.

Sekhar's Ruins

Little is known about this area. 3 Months ago, a group surveying the countryside stumbled upon a hidden access tunnel in the cliffside. Only one survived, however he later slipped into a coma before explaining more of what they encountered. The area has been marked off limits since.
