House Prisca
Prisca. The bloodline was thought to be extinct
after the events of the Great Provenire. But
after the New Gods had left, Prisca reemerged
in Argos, and stronger than ever. Today,
House Prisca is synonymous with the criminal
underworld of Helix. Their roots go deep into
the affairs of the common people and the secret
dealings of the nobility. The other houses
tolerate Prisca for two reasons: first, they keep
crime in the city in check, and second, Prisca
has made it well known to Helix’s nobles that
they know all about their private affairs.
The Heirs of Prisca inherit the
responsibility of the defense of the common
man. They have a unique fighting style which
draws upon everything the Heirs of Prisca have
learned from the foreign warriors living in Helix.
They use this to defend those under threat from
creatures that wander into the gentle farmland
from the primal wilderness outside the carefully
landscaped hills around Helix. They endure this
task alone, ridiculed and disdained by the other
Chanellers living the high life in Argos, those
with powerful enough Donums to never need to
train a day in combat to stave of
the monsters.
But the Heirs of Prisca have a darker
purpose which has gained them there veritable
exile outside of Argos. They use their Donum Dolus to carry
out the tasks that no one in Argos would
dare ask them to, but know needs to be
done. Because of this, the Heirs of Prisca are
often blamed for many of the assassinations
throughout the world, but perhaps that blame
falls in the right place more often than not. Accusations
are never carried too far; the world's nobility can only
look the other way, lest they be next on Prisca's docket.
