Anidine
Structure
Long Live the King
Two of the New Gods founded Anidine, and they decreed a King would rule with a divine right. Beneath the King is The Council of Oak Moot. The Council is composed of the King’s Barons an Wisdoms, who each rule over a state in Anidine. Beneath the Barons and Wisdoms are their Knights and Hunters, who each rule over a small region within their lord’s borders. Beneath them are the common people. By decree of the New Gods, those who rule are tasked with protecting the country and its people, while also helping them flourish.Rising Above
"Kings born of blood end in their kingdom’s blood."In Anidine, any Knight can become a Baron, and even the lowliest peasant can become King, if they have what it takes. In Anidine, Kings rule for life, but when one falls, the next is selected through the The Ordeal of Ambriel. The prospective Kings walk into Ambriel’s Life Duct, and one will emerge. Long live the new King. To become a Baron, one must stand before The Council of Oak Moot with at least one thousand of the people who wish to be in your Barony, and then The Council will judge you for if you are fit to lead. Once they are satisfied, one must defeat the strongest predator in their region in single combat. Only then can one become a Baron. Becoming a Wisdom however, is far more difficult. To attain this high title, first, one must know every plant in Anidine, and how it can be used to treat the sick. Second, a prospective Wisdom must have lead troops into battle and achieved victory, no small task against the cunning warriors of the Titan Pines or Gredora’s Gleaming Legions. To be knighted or recognized as a Hunter, a commoner must first fell one of the Titan Pines building their estate of its remains, or carve their home from the Northern Plateaus with their bare hands. Next to be knighted, they must present a satisfactory offering to Gadreel in his Life Duct. After achieving these things, one’s dedication and ability to provide cannot be questioned, and they will be awarded the title of Knight. To finish becoming a Hunter, the commoner is given one week to hunt enough game to feed their people for a month. If they can do this, they are honored as a Hunter.
Public Agenda
The Divine Right
The people of Anidine work diligently in their lives to serve their lords and their neighbors. They are a people who have overcome the greatest hatred for one another and joined together for a common purpose. They praise Anidine’s founders, Akil the Ruler and Ashe the Healer for their wisdom in how Anidine was created, but over time they have come to listen to two the Old Gods, Ambriel and Gadreel. The teachings of these two Old Gods are that this world is fractured by hatred, unlike Anadine. That the rest of the world would come together if only they could see the beauty in unity. And that it is the solemn duty of Anidine to unite the world under the rule of the Divine Right of Ambriel. To do this however, is no easy task. But a task that Gadreel has taught his disciples to overcome. But warmongering is not the Anidinian’s way. They follow a strict oath never to fight a war for selfish reasons, an oath bound in pact magic dating back to the origin of the kingdom. Anidine’s King and The Council of Oak Moot carefully wait for their neighbors to make an error in leadership over their people. This is when the Anidinians invoke diplomacy. It is a dreaded day to be at the negotiation table with Anidine. The smallest misstep for you, young lord, spells doom for you and your estates.

Legislative Body
The laws of Anidine were written by Akil and Ashera: Anidine's founders. Now sacred testaments, the laws they wrote are enforced by the King and all his feudal servants. The King is the only one with the authority to change Anidinian law, but King Amati holds council with the other leaders of the country so that they may have a voice in this.
Judicial Body
The highest judicial authority is the King. Beneath him, Barons and Wisdoms are responsible for meting out justice within their lands. Most of the lords, the King included, appoint a Judge who deals with the day to day occurrences. Judges are given much flexibility to see justice done, as they are also responsible for carrying out the justice decreed by their lord.
