Enchanting Tune
Lucius sighed as he stalked through the forest and over the dead who littered the ground, their eyes were glossy. Their final moments of life have filled with horror and anger and fear all in equal measure, those emotions plastered onto their features like fresh death masks. The young man however did his best to ignore this fact as he knelt down over one of the forsaken souls who laid face first into the ground.
Lucius sighed, rubbing his hands together in his gloves in a fruitless attempt to warm them, but it was a fruitless effort. It never felt right to pillage the fallen, but thus was the cost of this war, the cost of those who would not bow to the throne. A shiver went down his spine as his hand as he pushed his hand into the dead man's left pocket. Doing his best to Keep his mind on the thought that this was another's fault was all he actually had to keep himself distracted from that feeling of the dead watching him. Their spirits judging him, haunting him in quite night. It was empty, and trying the man’s other pocket proved to be just as fruitless. Not even a few plated feathers for all of his troubles.

There sitting before him was a creature pulled from myth or a bestiary of legend. One of the blessed children of the fae. A satyr playing her gentle pipes. Her supple skin was the color of the Heliotrope flowers that seemed to be growing so abundantly about her. Only an emerald skirt like subligaculum and strophium covered her modesty, though she wore it in such a way that Lucius could only guess was intended to be lascivious.
Brushing away her merigold hair her ruby eyes fell upon Lucius. There are a visible weight to her gaze as she inspected him.
“At last! An audience,” She waved towards the young squire eagerly, “come dance to my music.”
---
Lucius looked back to the Fae who just sat there looking down upon him,“You can not keep me here.” The look in her eyes suddenly shifted from anger to amusement. His heart began to chill as she began to laugh at him. Grizzy put one of her Heliotropic hands over her mouth and stopped after a moment.
“Can’t I?” She smiled.
