Colleges of Magi

The education of mages has gone back in the cultures of the arcane and witch blooded peoples for thousands of years. While mages are a long-lived people even they know that they can not live forever and many have often wished to keep their knowledge passed on to the next generations. The colleges of the Magistrate however can recall their founding to the first years of the City State of Arcadia and the great Archon Rosenkreuz drȳcræft who lead the mages feeling Curin and who joined the first lord of Arcadia. They are one of the few organizations which have a vote in the Accadian Senate, much to the dismay of some.

Structure

The Colleges function very much like a guild as much as it does a college as for the most part a mage will never leave its service. Every nation of suitable size contains a college, each college is lead by one of the titles, The Archon Arcanist. Below him rest the numerous positions of the Archons who have their own numerous sets of titles, but the highest Archons of any school of magic will most often report to him. The title of Archon goes to those who have received a certain amount of training or who have shown skill beyond others. Below them are the lower ranks of the magi, which are often in training.

Public Agenda

It tries to maintain the order of magic in the Magistrate and protect their kindred magi across the world. They also are to always assist their brother organization, the Venatione Order.

Assets

They are the worlds largest collection of magic users with its largest collection of arcane texts in the empire. They also are in control of the Chambers of Song which allow distance communication in merely seconds. This gives them a control over the empires strongest method of communication.
