Adjudicator Devil

"You stand in the path of your own adjudication. Do you wish to take this path?"
— An Adjudicator

Ichorbound Infernal

In the infernal hierarchies of the Hells, where contracts are inked in ichor and betrayal is a cherished art form, there exists a force immune to deceit and temptation: the Adjudicators. They are the arbiters of infernal law, imposing order upon the chaotic, conniving denizens of the underworld with a justice as unyielding as the iron that encases them.   Each Adjudicator is a towering figure, clad in armour so black it drinks in the light. Their faces are hidden behind featureless visors, but those who stand in their presence claim to feel wthe weight of an unblinking gaze, a cold scrutiny that peels back pretense and excuses. Their gauntleted hands wield hammers inscribed with sigils of binding and retribution, tools not for battle but for judgement. When the hammer falls, it does not simple strike; it brands the condemned with their crimes, carving truth into their very essence.

Order Eternal

Legends whisper that the Adjudicators were not forged by the fires of the Hells but by something older, something colder. They do not serve for ambition, for they desire no elevation. They do not serve for fear, for they cannot be threatened. They do not serve for loyalty, for loyalty requires affection, and the Adjudicators have none. They serve because they are bound to serve, chained to the immutable laws that govern the Hells themself. Some say they were once devils who dared question the foundations of the infernal order, punished not with destruction but with purpose - a purpose stripped of joy and cruelty alike.   Their presence is rare but unmistakable. When one is summoned, it is not a matter of whim but of necessity. A dispute too twisted, a betrayal too grievous, or a contract so convoluted that only the Adjudicators can unravel its knotted threads. They arrive without ceremony, their footsteps ringing like funeral bells. No devil, not even the greatest dukes of the Hells, dares impede them. To obstruct an Adjudicator is to invite their hammer and the eternal shame of guilt made manifest.   Mortals who encounter an Adjudicator rarely leave unscarred. Some are marked with infernal brands, others with a chilling understanding: that there exists a justice which cannot be bought, swayed, or escaped. And in that justice, there no mercy - only the cold, relentless truth.

I definitely do not want to meet one of these guys, even if I've done nothing wrong!
