Project Continuum
A world forsaken by the gods that made it
Welcome to Project Continuum!
This is a world-building project in which I am attempting to create a world "from scratch" - many of my previous attempts rely on a framework or foundation set by other authors and source-books, and I find that while I enjoy making things for it, I try to be too faithful to the source material and make too many concessions to enjoy the process. Here, I'm attempting to circumvent that by making a world that is mostly my own and includes elements that excite and interest me. For the moment, it is a project for the sake of creating, but eventually I may want to run a TTRPG or use some other medium to tell stories in it.
That said, there are entirely too many cool and lovable worlds and settings being released, and I fully intend to allow elements of those I love to slip through. Initially, I am inspired by and drawing on Obojima, Warhammer Fantasy, Ruins of Symbaroum, and Grim Hollow, but this list is not exhaustive and there is certainly more. Drawing on so much, I think this project is also going to be an exercise in restraint, so that I can allow my creativity to grow and flourish without just taking elements and smashing them together haphazardly into a "cool-stuff pile."
This is also the home for all of my World Anvil challenge articles, starting with Summer Camp 2025.
