The fruits of labor sown by the Vinculum of Discovery are reaped as humanity gets back onto its feet after decades of pointless wallowing.

The Vinculum of Discovery makes itself known as an industrial powerhouse, attracting many from around the world as word spreads easily from descendants of the faction. Though, the group isn't done just yet. The capsules discovered from the Vault years ago continue to prove themselves useful as a researcher by the name of Hideko Yamamato had begun experimentation on inventing a starship - the schematics of which were present on said capsules. This build of a spaceship would be more advanced than the rocketships used by humans before the Fall.

After careful development and many iterations, the first starship saw the light of day, deployed as an exploration ship that soared around the world in a mere few hours. This experimental build of a starship was the founding design for spinoff ships, as many were inspired by the sight of the "metal bird". Starship production had entered full throttle, ushering in the reclamation of Earth. It would not take long for new governments and countries to surface as man spread its influence to lost regions of the world. With Earth slowly but surely repopulation, humanity cast their eyes towards the stars. It was during this time Father Popov's consciousness was uploaded into a computer network that operated New Cali, operating as an overseer for all things within the city. The Vinculum ensured this would happen before the death of his fleshly body. The Mobile Purification Unit, still bitter over their loss at the Battle of New Cali seek to undermine the Vinculum, seizing control of the city and in turn, the technology within. The MPU's plan comes to fruition in a full force attack, utilizing stolen weaponry from the conflict that had taken place fifty years before. Deployed during a rainy night in 2239, the Conquest of New Cali would be known as the darkest day for the Vinculum. Mass destruction ensued as the inexperienced MPU had operated highly experimental weapons, though their plan of brute force had worked. The faction spared none as their onslaught ruptured the outskirts of the city, the unstoppable intruders nearing the heart of New Cali. After taking into consideration the current circumstances and the likelihood of forfeiting heavily guarded secrets to the enemy, Father Popov's AI had locked down the city in a last ditch attempt to prevent the invaders from chasing after survivors that fled into the nearby jungles of New Cali.

A few hours into the lockdown, the Mobile Purification Unit had begun raiding the settlements within the area, taking any and all resources for themselves. They planned to brute force their way out of the city via explosives. During this time, Father Popov's AI had chosen to scuttle the vital assets of the city. After carefully forwarding information to nearby Vinculum outposts and the few scattered throughout the world, Popov had initiated a self-destruction of New Cali, with many of the MPU still trapped inside. The force of the explosion left a crater the size of a small country in the upper lefthand side of South America. However, this detonation would mark the start of another age -- the Singularity.
