Basic Description

  The Essences of Magic are the foundation of all Magic in the world of Prismisa.  

The Essences are the very fabric of all creation in our world. It can create and destroy everything in an instant sometimes. If only we could understand all its mysteries.

  The Essences are woven between each other. Few can wield them and they're even fewer who can understand. The denizens of Prismisa have divided the Essences into five categories.   The first is the Core, followed by the Central, Inner, and Outer Essences. The Last category is the Minor Essences for they are just divergent paths of the prior Essences. They are divided by how powerful the Essence interacts with the world and whether they are viewed as benevolent or malignant.    

The Mark

  The Mark is an indicator of an Essencer at Birth. It appears as one of the symbols on the inner part of one's wrist. Only around 3% of Primisa population is "Marked", making it quite rare to be afflicted.

The Nine Major Essences

 

Core Essence

 

Blood Essence

  Blood Essence, the core of all Essences. It is the rarest of all Essences to possess. Often due to it being outlawed by the majority of the Countries of Prismisa for the exception of the Free City of Chrona. The Blood Essencers are hunted and killed for the fear of the unlimited power provided by the Blood Essence. The cause of this stigmatic fear is Ori.

  The ability to one's use blood essence, the User must sacrifice some of their lifeforce. It has been rumoured that a Blood Essencer can extent their lives, some speculate they can also possibly achieve immortality.  

Central Essences

 

Life Essence

  Life Essencers are the most sought after, not because of their strength or how uncommon their Essence is in Essencers, but because their Essence is used for the grievous of injuries or illnesses, for their Healing spells are unmatched by normal medicine.  

Death Essence

  Death Essencers are feared across the land for their destructive magic and their ability to raise the Dead. They are often enslaved or killed by various countries or organizations. When enslaved they are usually used to cast plagues onto the oppositions or summon undead armies for superior numbers in battles.  

Inner Essences

 

Fire Essence

  Fire Essencers are the most used for military purposes that are more widely used. The reasons for the wide use is because of the potential firepower of their spells as an Inner Essence. They offer the most readily strength but suffer a terrible weakness, their stamina. Fire Essencers suffer stamina shortage because they must use a great portion of it to sustain the amount of heat used in their spells.  

Water Essence

  Water Essencers are moderately strong but greatly limited and mostly used defensively. The limitation for Water Essencers is that they require a water source for the use of their large and more powerful spells. There is ways around this limitation, like carrying water on your person or creating a water source with basic spells but that require some concentration. They are used more defensively because they are the greatest countermeasure to the Fire Essencers.  

Earth Essence

  Earth Essencers have the strongest defensive abilities and prowess. They often take multiple Essencers to take an Earth Essencers down, for they may be slow but quite durable. They often are able to hide behind or in a defensive barrier which then allows them the time to go on the offensive.  

Air Essence

  Air Essencers have one of the greatest potentials for offense but must sacrifice all defense. The reason for this is because Air Essencers have one of the best speeds and stamina pools compared to all others. Allowing them to be quite nimble at evading and then counter-attacking giving the aggressor no time to adjust. Meaning they shouldn't focus on blocking or defending.  

Exterior Essences

 

Light Essence

  Light Essencers are one of the two support essences that grant the others pure enchantments either on items or themselves. They are grealty valued for they are a great counter against the Undead risen by a Death Essencer and to remove dark afflicting or curses.  

Dark Essence

  Dark Essencers the second of the support essences. They grant dark essences like curses onto others majority of the time but they can also do items. Dark Essencers are usually not well looked upon but not considered outlawed or criminals for they are still required for offensive purposes.  

Minor Essences

  Some of the Minor Essences include but not limited to:  

• Electric Essence - Fire Essence
• Poison Essence - Death Essence
• Ice Essence - Water Essence
