Primed Moon Elves
Moon Elves are at their strongest during the Full Moon. When the full moon reaches it's apex, the Moon Elves are at their strongest.
You'd be a fool to fight a Moon Elf during the full moon. in addition to increased strength and magical prowess, Moon Elves gain the ability to turn invisible during the full moon.
Much like a werewolf or any other lycanthrope, Moon Elves gain their power during the full moon. It's not really known why this happens, but most speculate that the Moon Elves actually came from the moon, as opposed to being influenced by the moon.
Manifestation
When the full moon reaches it's apex, Moon Elf eye's will glow. This is known as being "Primed". They draw their power from the moon and use it to grow in strength both physically and metaphysically.
Additionally, any artifact, weapon, or tool made from moon stone will also begin to glow in the same pale pinkish purpleish colour as the Moon Elves eyes. This fact only lends itself to the belief that moon elves actually come from the moon.
When weapons or artifacts get primed by the moon's light, they also grow in power. Arcane Foci get bonuses to their power, statues begin to glow, and Weapons get sharper and gain a magical edge. Weapons made from moon stone also gain the ability to turn invisible if the wielder is a moon elf. this means that Moon Elf assassins are even more deadly during the full moon. This moon elf and moon stone invisibility also differs from normal invisibility in the fact that with normal invisibility any attacks or spells you cast would render you visible, but with this Moon Elf invisibility, you are not rendered visible by such actions.
