However, gods still interact with those few mortals that have peeked their interest or seen as worthy, occasionally using them in cosmic chess games.
While monsters and spirits roam the world and their exists magic areas in the world, rarely mortals are capable of wielding magic. For those that can their powers often lead them off on adventures, in the service of the politically powerful, or dead at the hands of a frighted mob. To be feared, awed, or both?
