As countries grow and prosper, peace won't last as something wishes to destroy the world and end-all of creation, forever.

The Great Collapse began with Altoron, one of the ancient beings who existed since before the realms were created, who sought to end the world and return it back into the empty void it once was. In the battles of the collapse, it took the shape of an almighty dragon of great power. As he entered the material plane his power destroyed the earth, scorched farmlands, burned forests, evaporated lakes. Other places were completely devastated by the dragon’s attacks and became disintegrated by its power. Thought even as the end approached, some would cling to hope and believed that the gods would save them. Others took to embracing this new fate and started the Ulturian Doctrine also known as the Doctrine of Demise. Altoron showed no regard for those that followed him, though he did still make use of their power in order to create an army of great power by lending them part of his own. This following also further increased the dragon’s power and he started approaching the power of the gods, which they had gained from the number of followers they had accumulated over the many years.   Altoron’s reign was cut short by the powers of six heroes chosen by different gods, as well as the sacrifices of many people to drain the power of the dragon.   These were: 
The Hero of Daylight, Chosen of Amon, The Great Light. 
The Sage of Mysteries, Chosen of Mystra, The Lady of Magic. 
The Gladiator in Black, Chosen of Wóden, The Black Blooded. 
The Warrior of Annihilation, Chosen of Loric, The Earthbreaker. 
The Scarlet Soldier, Chosen of Ogun, The Red Knight. 
The Champion of Law, Chosen of Bahamut, The Adamant King.
