Yokotama

Yokotama is situated on the large plains of the Odisé Flatlands in the region of the Jozu Dynasty known as Iwaba, with rocky outcroppings, surrounded by farmland where the villagers grow tea. The region is warm and humid, with a small river running through the town providing a source of water for irrigation. There are many Asian-style buildings made from wood and bamboo. The town is small but bustling, with farmers working in the fields and tea merchants selling their wares in the markets. The aroma of freshly brewed tea wafts through the streets, and the villagers take great pride in their tea-making traditions. Despite the hot and humid climate, the town is surrounded by beautiful greenery, with rolling hills and forests in the distance. The rocky outcroppings add an element of ruggedness to the landscape, and the town itself has a peaceful and idyllic atmosphere, making it a perfect stop for travelers seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of the world outside.

Government

Yokotama was overseen by the feudal lord, Oda Nobunaga who inherited the position from their father who founded the town. After their passing, this position was taken by Takemura Yoshiro.

Defences

A wall of stone bricks surrounds part of the residential district and many of the smaller districts.

Industry & Trade

The most famed export of Yokotama is it's tea, though it also sells weaponry and armor made from high-quality steel.

Infrastructure

Yokotama has the production facilities to produce steel weaponry and armor as well as an extensive irrigation system.

Districts

Tea Gardens

This district is located just outside the town walls and where the tea fields are. The district is made up of sprawling tea plantations, where the villagers grow and harvest tea leaves. This district occupies a large part of the city, giving plenty of room for the plantations.

The Ironworks

This district is located inside the town walls and where the iron mine is. The district is home to many blacksmiths and metalworkers who use the iron to create tools, weapons, and other goods, as well as the home of the feudal lord who helps oversee the production. The district also has a strong military presence, with many soldiers stationed here to protect the mine and the lord. Although the district is of high importance, it takes up a relatively small part of the town and is largely centered around the mine and lord's manor which is sat atop a hill.

Merchant Quarter

This district is located inside the town walls and is where many merchants and traders operate. The district is home to many shops, markets, and warehouses where goods are bought and sold. The district is bustling with activity, with merchants haggling over prices and traders making deals.

Temple District

This district is also located inside the town walls and where the town's temples and shrines are. The district is home to many monks and priests who tend to the spiritual needs of the villagers. The district is quiet and peaceful, with the sound of chanting and prayer often heard in the streets.

Riverside District

This district is located along the banks of the small river that runs through the town. The district is home to many fishermen and boatmen who use the river for transportation and commerce. The district is also home to many restaurants and food vendors who specialize in seafood and other river-related dishes. This district occupies part of the region between the river and the midtown and the tea gardens.

Midtown

This smaller district is located between the Tea Gardens and the Riverside District. It is a newer, up-and-coming district where the town's wealthier inhabitants have begun to build their homes. The district is home to many large, ornate houses and estates. This district occupies a very small part of the town, likely the smallest district.

Residential District

This district is located partially inside and outside the town walls and is where most of the villagers live. The district is made up of many small houses and apartments and is home to a diverse group of people from all walks of life. The district is quiet and peaceful, with the sounds of children playing and neighbors chatting in the streets. This district is home to the town's working-class families and tradespeople. It is the second-largest district.

Guilds and Factions

Ironworker's Guild

The ironworker's guild consists of skilled blacksmiths and metalworkers who are responsible for operating the town's iron mine and creating weapons, armor, and other metal goods.

Tea Traders' Association

The tea traders' association is made up of merchants and traders who deal in tea, either by importing it from other regions or growing it in the town's tea gardens.
