Swarming

When you attack an opponent along with allies, you receive a -1 to the difficulty of the attack roll, cumulative for each of your allies attacking the same opponent.
After that, you account for your opponent's allies:
Each of your opponent's allies standing next to him, gives you +1 to your difficulty.
However, the modifier you get for this, is bounded between -3 and +3 to difficulty.

Your are attacking Roach, the Traitor. You are doing that along with 5 friends. Roach has one of his friends fighting alongside him, so:
  • Base difficulty of 5
  • Modifier for your allies: -5.
  • Modifier for Roach's allies: +1.
  • Final Modifier: -5 + 1 = -4, but it can only reach -3, so it is -3.
  • Final Difficulty: 5 - 3 = 2, piece of cake.
It is good to have allies, and it sucks to be outnumbered.
