Grapple

To grapple an enemy, roll Dexterity & Unarmed versus whatever roll is appropriate for your opponent weapon, or lack of thereof.
Consider Reach, and Size rules.
If you succeed, the target is Entangled, and if you roll a raise, your opponent is Bound.
While you are grappling an enemy, you are Vulnerable against attacks by other opponents.
Some creatures can have a free Crush in the same turn if they manage to grapple successfully (no AP expenditure), see description below.
In cases of extreme Size difference, the GM may rule the smaller creature is unable to attempt a grapple against the larger one.

Escape from Grapple:
It takes 3 action points.
To escape, the grappled character must make a contested Strength roll against the grappler.
If the grappled character succeeds, he can:
  • Pass from Bound to Entangled. With a raise, you also break free from Entangled, and you are no longer grappled.
  • Break free from Entangled, and you are no longer grappled.

Secure:
It takes 3 action points.
If you only managed to Entangle your opponent, you can make a contested Strength roll against your enemy, and if you succeed, your enemy passes from Entangled to Bound.

  Crush:
It takes 3 action points.
If you have an enemy on a Grapple, be it Entangled or Bound, you perform a contested Strength Roll. If you succeed, you can roll Damage using your Strength, or Strength + a die specific to constrictor animals.

  Bite:
It takes 3 action points.
Large carnivore animals can sometimes bite instead of Crushing. Consider the damage they do with their fangs instead. See Natural Weapons.

  Crush & Bite:
Some animals are able to crush and bite at the same time. In these cases, the crush costs only 2 AP, and the bite only 1 AP. The rolls are the same as above.
