Gene Points
Every character has a pool of Gene Points. They reflect your body's capacity to endure mutations.
Each mutation has a value or cost in terms of Gene Points that you need to spend when you express it. The amount of Gene Points a mutation costs depends on its power, and how far from "normal" it is.
Repressed ones remain in your Genome, but do not have a cost in terms of Gene Points.
Everyone starts with an initial pool of 6 Gene Points, except the Genomancer, which starts at 8.
