Valley of the Lost

The Valley of the Lost is a strange and unique place. Carved by a short-lived volcano from before the Sentience, the valley is deep with steep stone walls and a lake at the bottom. Located too high in the mountains for most species, and hard to find because of special properties of the surrounding mountain, most happen upon the valley while lost and wandering. The only reliable way of traveling to the Valley of the Lost is by Skieren or Flurry Owls. Inside the pit-like valley is a strange occurrence. The tip of the mountain called Sagroncora, is above the cloud level, but the valley reaches below it. So from above, the basin looks like a lake of clouds. Below the clouds, the land is in perpetual darkness and is frigid. The rain that falls from the clouds falls and freezes in patterns, creating structures that look like ruins and have caves inside, some of which are completely sealed. Plus, there is a layer of mist that lightens and thickens unpredictably, completing the ghostly theme.

Tristona flowers, Kaanima, and Saesiosu eels seem to be the only native species, but others have moved in and adapted to the environment.
