The Seven Kingdoms Alliance
INTRODUCTION
The Seven Kingdoms Alliance was a geopolitical alliance between the weakest of the seven nations in middleton. Following Orsolon's failure to protect the north from the Kingdom of Tsonlar during the first magic war- the seven city-kingdoms of Abeon grouped together to form a military pact, later known as The Seven Kingdoms Alliance.
FOUNDING
In 1275, the nations of Vocra, Wreinn, Asmar, Olchar, Orsolon, Porsonal, and Jolster joined together to avoid the disaster that had befallen the northern alliance during the first magic war. It initally succeeded, but cracks began to form after the first three hundred years. The alliance, in the very least, delayed the conquering of Abeon by the vastly more powerful Tsonlar until the end of the third period.
FALL OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS
In 1761, the Kingdom of Tsonlar led by Ostaphar VI invaded Asmar, the weakest of the seven kingdoms at the time. However, because Asmar was a nation of Easternlings, the rest of the kingdoms hesitated to rush to its aid. Wreinn and Vocra involved themselves militarily, while the other four nations gave political and financial support. The invasion lasted until 1765, and Ostaphar managed to conquer not only Asmar, but also Wreinn and Vocra. Having lost half of the alliegant nations, the alliance quickly disolved into fueds and power grabbing. The culmination of such was The Seventy Years War, a war which pitted the arvenon nations of Orsolon and Olchar against the dwarven nations of Melehur and Jolster. Porsonal remained neutral, which was a large reason that it was able to survive until the end of the bloody third period. The war fractured the alliance beyond repair, and Orsolon fell prey to economic tribute indefinetly to both Archia and Tsonlar. The alliance would end forever when Porsonal destroyed Orsolon for good in 2003, simultaineous with Olchar's departure and becoming an arm of the Tsondalian kingdom.
