The Okura Clan
Origin
The Okura Clan came to the United States during the gold rush. They left a lot of houses along the way, but now their main headquarters are in Powersville. They believe that gold is the best material to wield and that it even allows them to become one with the sword. Because it is what man desires the most, then it must be the most human material of them all. Their exodus erased all of their relationships with their homeland, but they swore to rebuild their power from the ground up. They used their prospecting profits and they invested it in railroads. They got to the negotiation table with the Magicals, which didn’t sit well with them. They controlled the cargo and payed their favors. Out of their overworked employers, they picked the two that could endure their shifts and took them as part of the family. It was a test. After the second world war started, the Japanese American Internment camps took out their asian descents members and their Railroads, but by then the Clan had expanded into the banking industry. By the time their asian members returned, the Clan was divided in two. The americans and the asian. The Okura carry the name, but not the blood. Lower ranks live in the outer lands of the castle. When you get in, you get a room and your uniform, which they must always wear when in public. Higher ranks must always carry their sword at all times, losing it gets them immediate expulsion. All get their training in the dojo. They are free to do as they please, as long as they can bring money to the castle and don't get in the way of the clan's business.Practices
They mostly do unfair loans and later cash in on their victims, either in favors or in double the cash. They also own a chain of Opium, which they are really protective of. They like having their business as their streets, clean and with no scum in sight. Scum being the other clans.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
