What history says of them

Thought to be the destined rulers of Earth, Magicals are the elite class in human civilization. They say that leadership is in their nature, though a good amount of non-Magicals would argue otherwise.   As far as records go, it's always been said that it was the Magicals who showed mankind the way of the manners and average social behaviour. The least a non-Magical could do is serve their lords and workship they did until it was decided that there was no need to keep doing so. A controversial movement in the Magicals battled for the rights of the magically challenged people. After years of arguing, it was decided that the non-Magicals would be given the right to vote and to own private property. This was not enough to change the perspective of many Magicals, as most of them still see the peasants as inferior so most Magicals live in their own neighbourhoods and some without even meeting a non-Magical on a personal level.

Society Values

In school they only learn how to use their powers, as they probably won't need much else. The vast majority tends to only hang out with other Magicals, this is due to non-Magical association being lethal to their reputation. Naturally, only Magicals that are in the lower sides of society or have few economic resources speak with their distant magicless cousins. When young, they fight to become unique and to stand out. But when they grow older, they live off the power their descendants bring them. There is nothing more shameful for a Magical than to be in a disrupted family as it shows lack of organization and weakness from the head of the family. Power and recognition are essential to a Magical. They might be able to contain their hunger for more, but it will always be there in the back of their head and eating them from the inside.    

A succesful Magical is often a feared one, respect and power are the most important features in their society. It's almost as if the need of superiority was within their nature.
