Millennium City News Network - Powered Beings Assault House in Fairview

[The camera focuses on a woman in the foreground, the microphone in her hand sports the Millennium City News Network logo. She has long ginger hair, being blown gently in the breeze, pale skin, green eyes and, when she speaks it is with a softly spoken, yet clearly enunciated Irish lilt. Behind her is the remains of a property. It is a single house in a suburban neighbourhood. The house itself have been literally blown apart and fire crews still work to put out the last vestiges of the conflagration].   The woman looks directly into the camera a moment before nodding to herself. She briefly looks behind her, before looking back to the camera. "I am standing outside a property in Fairview, that has allegedly come under attack by a Powered Individual of unknown name or origin. The property in question is registered to one Raymond Rowe, who was accidentally named by his Powered partner Blizzard in an interview yesterday. This accidental outing was then made worse by the Millennium Scoop, printing the full names and addresses of the two heroes in, what it calls, an act of full disclosure.   Neighbours reported a massive explosion at around 4.30am this morning and there are alleged reports of a Powered being leaving the scene by flying away at that time. This attack comes the day after Firestorm and Blizzard captured Eddie 'Hacksaw' Verdinais, accusing the man of being linked to the Vetrinelli Family who have themselves allegedly been linked to organised crime.   This attack comes mere hours after the Hero known as Blizzard accidentally gave the real name of his companion in an interview with the press. Unfortunately, the attack also caused the deaths of all of the occupants. At this time, the bodies of one woman and two children have been recovered. It is believed that Firestorm was out on patrol at the time. Whilst most outlets either refused to print the name, or at least not provide further detail than the slip, the Millennium Scoop not only provided the unedited transcript but also provided full disclosure on the heroes in question. Questions must now be asked: Was this in retaliation for The Hacksaw's capture? Was this attack perpetrated by the Vetrinelli Family? Although printed by the Scoop? Was this actually the home of Firestorm? Was this someone else trying to make a name for themselves by killing a would-be Hero? No matter the reason, this is a vile attack and an act of extreme cowardice on behalf of the perpetrator.   With no further information available, we return to the studio for further discussions on the newly forming Super Hero and Super Villain cultures growing rapidly in this, our City of Tomorrow."
