Unconscious Woman Found on Northbridge Junction
Reporter:

"...And this just in," says
Mitchell Winters, currently, the in-studio anchor for the morning news. "... We have just received reports of an unconscious woman being found on a street in
Northbridge. Our Roving Reporter,
Gwen Goodwin, is on the scene. "Gwen, can you tell us more?"
The picture changes to a rather attractive, well-presented redheaded woman looking into the camera. Behind her, a nondescript street junction in
Northbridge can be seen. There is a clear police presence, maintaining order as what appears to be forensics examine the scene. "Yes, I can, Mitchell. At around 4.30am today, the unconscious body of a woman was found on the street junction behind me by some of the residents of the area. From initial reports, and eye-witness testimonies, it appears that she was in the middle of the street, then hit by a vehicle, which sped off. Eyewitnesses say she was staggering, as though drugged or drunk, before being hit. The woman is in a critical condition at
Millennium City General Hospital , where her injuries are said to be life-threatening." She pauses for a moment. "The woman in question has been identified as
Stella DeLuca, part-owner of
Stellar FX, and a local activist for tenants in
Bayside, against unscrupulous landlords, gang activities and alleged organised crime. Could this have been a deliberate attempt to silence the voice of a young woman fighting for what is right? The police investigation is ongoing. We'll have more as it breaks. Back to the studio."
The screen flicks back to the interior of the studio, where
Mitchell says, "Thank you Gwen. Now, in other news...."
