Ash Walker

The Ashwalker is a fearsom animal, so much so that it was given a Title over a name.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They have muscular, sturdy bodies. They're covered in thick brown fur, with hints of ash grey. Each of their four limbs is topped with large paws lined with thick powerful claws. Their most unique feature is their sturdy boney foreheads.

Ecology and Habitats

Ashwalkers live in heavily forested areas.  The make their dens in caves or old ruins.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Stictly carnivorous, its prefered prey is ground dwelling creatures it can dig up.

Behaviour

When the Ashwalker smells smoke on the wind it follows the scent, in hopes to find a wild fire. The Ashwalker will wait by the edge of the fire to catch fleeing creatures. If by the time the fire has died down the animal hasnt had its fill, it will walk into the smouldering ashes and dig up burrows of creatures taking shelter and consume creatures that succumed to the flames. It uses its boney forehead to head butt burnt trees to knock them down and dig open their trunks for small creatures.

Social Structure

They are not social creatures and live solitary lives. When two Ashwalkers meet outside of mating season they have aggressive fights over territory.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Ashwalkers strongest sense is their sense of smell. Their sight is weak, especially in the daylight.

Ashwalker's overall color is a dusty brown, with lighter brown high lights typically on their backs and muzzle. Their limbs are tinted grey.
