Bistonian Warhorse
Legend tells that these horses were bred by a long-lost country called Bistonia, under the request of its king to have the most fearsome warhorses in the land. Regardless of whether this legend is true, they succeeded in making the most carnivorous and aggressive horse breed in Poraile.
Though its speculated origins are decidedly human, they share many biological traits with other beasts, and are thus categorised as such. There have been no documented examples of someone who has eaten their meat, so whether or not they would succumb to Beast Consumption is hotly debated. What is very clear, however, is that being hunted down by one is a curse in and of itself.
Basic Information
Anatomy
In most aspects, the Bistonian Warhorse is indistinguishable from an ordinary domesticated horse. The one aspect that is consistent about them, however, is that all confirmed specimens have white coats and an extremely aggressive temper towards anything that isn't a fellow Bistonian Warhorse. Farmers have found the most efficient way to tell whether their purchase was genuine is to find, to their horror, that the rest of their horses have been eaten down to the bones the next morning.
Additional Information
Domestication
Domestication is fraught with safety warnings, odd looks from strangers and a great deal of blood. Those naïve enough to believe a Bistonian Warhorse could - perhaps - have a domestic side often rein in their expectations, once they own more than one of them.
When alone and convinced their owner is not very delicious, the Bistonian Warhorse has some potential to be tamed and can learn the same tricks of a normal horse. However, on even the slight whiff of anything animal - dead or otherwise - the horse will plunge again into a bloodthirsty rage and violently eat whatever comes in between its jaws. This can include the owner, if they realise they are just as human and edible as any other person it's seen before.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Owning a Bistonian Warhorse has been made illegal by nations in the Three Kingdom Alliance, though other national legislations may vary. The Warhorse is commonly exploited for sport within the illicit Beast Emporiums, where such anomalies of nature are forced to fight for the monetary gain of the spectators and wranglers.
Their time in these emporiums are short-lived, both due to their shorter lifespan than conventional horses and because owners - even in illegal markets - don't take kindly to all their other stock being eaten. The only way that they are conceivably of value in current livestock markets is if they're fraudulently sold as a normal horse. Since horses with fully white coats are rare, the discovery of having bought this rare creature is less than enthusiastic.
