Steigei's V BoeBaes Clinks Match

The Steigeis and Boebaes are two teams of Clinks throwers, who were challenged to perform a proper game against one another. Unbenownst to the Boebaes, in their third consecutive championship of the Ekklisia cup, the Steigeis were a new group that they had never performed against.
It wasn't until the day of the clinks game, held on the home team turf in the frozen mountaintops of The Mioiarann Mountains that they realized the Steigeis were a group of Steisen Giants. The rules of Clinks were not formally set up in Kingdom of Steisen by this time, and as such, many many accidents took place against the Boebaes, resulting in two team members losing their lives.
It was as a direct answer to this match that the official rules and regulations for Clinks were created, as well as the CAB.

The Conflict

Prelude

From 507 to 510 the BoeBaes, the all female halfling Clanks throwing professional group from Boegraan, were undefeated champions of Clanks. They had traversed from the ice shores of The Outlands to the surrounding areas of Magicians Reservoir. Considered the greatest throwers in Ekklisia, they were challenged to a game of Clanks to a new team in the Kingdom of Steisen, known as the Steigei.
Unbenownst to the BoeBaes, the Steigei were a group of Frost Giants looking to make a name for themselves in their own version of Clanks, using boulders instead. As the BoeBaes were confident in their victories, especially after a recent victory against the Spearmen, a group of mixed race in the outlands, they took the offer without checking into it.

Deployment

The boebaes were invited to Steisen and as such, they were obligated to fight on the home turf ot the Steigei. They were informed of lodgings inside of Geburtszwerg, and as such, packed lightly. They were unfamiliar with the rules of the course, known as the rock yards, but were told that the course is regulation size with correspondance from the Steigei. They traveled for a month, arriving on Vamendour 9, ready for their game the next day.

Battlefield

Upon arriving at Geburtszwerg and settling in, the Steigei sent for them, out into the highest peaks of The Mioiarann Mountains where the air was thin, and the BoeBaes met their opponents for the first time. Outraged, they tried to back out of the competition, yet by contract they were obligated to play a game of Clinks against them. The snow was nearly a foot thick in some places, and having been unprepared for the snow, Laural suffered the most.
The Steigei informed them of the regional rules of Clinks, differing by the type and size of the hole, that if a Clink covered a hole, it had to be knocked off of the hole in order for opponents to score, and that any hold on a Clink counts. Deciding to try and get through the match as quickly as possible, Laural agreed to the terms and allowed both parties to play.

Conditions

Conditions on top of Mioiarann were extremly non ideal. The wind was fierce, the air was thin, there was a foot of snow on the ground and only the giants knew every rule in their regional Clanks rules. The Boebaes were clearly outmatched from the get go, and had no chance of success.

The Engagement

The battle took place over 24 hours, of which neither team could leave the area. The Steigeis started off by tossing all of their boulders at once onto the course, and allowing the Boebae's a chance to surpass their boulder toss to get to the next throw. After only three tosses, the Boebaes finally all surpassed the boulders, allowing the giants their second toss.
On the seccond toss, the Steigeis grabbed their boulders, and spinned around as much as they could and tossed their boulders, this time flinging the boulders in a massivly random pattern away from the hole. Because the Steigeis all flung backwards, they got to perform their third throw.
On the third throw, the Steigeis managed to get one of the boulders onto the hole, allowing them their eventual victory. Lop however, completely missed his throw, intentionally or not, and his boulder landed directly on top of Emilia, Yinny and Yanny. This completely threw the game into Chaos as Yinny and Emilia were killed instantly by the impact, while Yanni died very quickly due to the injuries they sustained, potentially due to shock. Laural and Linda immediately tried to call off the game, but the Steigei's refused, demanding that they be allowed a fair game according to their rules, and that nobody would leave until at least one Clink on the BoeBaes side was sunk.
Laural was the first to act, with the both of them trying to get into the hole as quickly as they could. However, even with the new results of the rules, neither of them could pick up the boulder covering the hole. Both of them took turns instead using their tosses to try and smash through the boulder, or the ground beneath it as quickly as they could, using their Clinks as very poor shovels. During this process, Laural lost all feeling and movement in her legs, suffering from extreme frostbite during the 22 hours they spent digging out the Clink hole. Linda made an estimated 2374 throws during the match to create a large enough hole to sink her clink into.
With the first hole finally having been completed by the BoeBaes, they became eligible to Forfit, and as the last conscious member, Linda agreed to a forfeit, allowing the Steigei's the "championship." To which Linda dragged Laural back to Geburtszwerg to get treatment for their frostbitten legs.

Outcome

The BoeBaes were disbanded due to the two surviving members being unable to handle the loss of their friends, as well as other medical conditions that were treated in Geburtszwerg directly after the match was over.
The giants had a bounty placed on their head, which stood for 31 days, until they were defeated. The final bounty was 3470gp, split five ways between a group of adventurers from Drakenvalds adventurers guild.

Aftermath

Three years after the defeat of the BoeBaes, Linda's husband William, an avid Clinks afficianado made the first set of rules, and formed the Clinks Athletics Burrough. These official rules are held worldwide, and are the foremost point of reference to any Clinks dispute.

My goodness. I feel sorry for the BoeBaes. They really had no chance at all. I love your take on this prompt, and enjoyed reading about it!

Many in Pondera agreed with your opinion, which is why the Steigeis were hunted down and killed by adventurers within a few months of the match taking place. Not all is bad either, were it not for the BoeBaes loss, Clinks would never have formed the rules that were created to protect members of the public, allowing everyone to enjoy the game without fear of death.
