Holy State of the Dea People

The State of the Dea People, officially The Deaian City State, is an independent country located on the Island of Hazia off the Ambi Coast. The Deaian City State, also known simply as the Haze Gate, became semi-independent from Paradise with the Haze Treaty (20 AOE) and fully independent in 996, and it is a distinct territory under "full ownership, exclusive dominion, and sovereign authority and jurisdiction" of the Speakers of the Haze. While nowadays it is an independent sovereign entity that maintains its own temporal, diplomatic, and spiritual independence; its diplomacy was directed almost entirely by the Holy Council of Paradise for centuries. As governed by the Speakers of the Haze, The Deaian City State is a sacerdotal-monarchical state ruled by the Head Speaker who is the bishop of Paradise and head of the Perf Church. The highest state functionaries are all Perfic clergy of various national origins.
