This appears to be a hand-forged nail, very old and worn, blackened with soot. It imparts of feeling of subtle wrongness and general unease in any living creature which touches it.
When driven into the flesh of a Celestial or Fiend creature, either as an improvised melee weapon attack or targeting a helpless creature with a DC 10 Strength test using a hammer, that creature is immediately affected by a Banishment spell DC 18. On a failure, the creature is transported to a random location on a plane (DM's choice) opposed to its creature type.
