Polaris

Polaris is a world where all water and wind flow from one massive geyser, called the Heavenly spring, while the warmth of the seasons and the movement of the earth are caused by a massive roiling pit of magma, called the Earthly Spring. The springs are located at polar ends of the planet, and are the feature from which its name is derived. The common belief is that the springs are where the elemental planes leak into the prime material plane; just a little too much for the walls of the plane to hold completely but not too much that reality is threatened. Technology advances quickly in Polaris, as the Springs are easy to harness for power, both mechanical and electrical, and with enough channels to flow through, they can reach just about anywhere on the planet.
