Kaelira Veythar, the Bloodbound

Early Life (421–438 PR)

  Kaelira was born in the war-ravaged lands of the southern Tibur frontier, where raiders and cultists roamed unchecked after the collapse of local lords. She was the daughter of a mason and a healer, but her childhood was shaped by cruelty—villages burned, women taken, and children slain. Her father was slaughtered by marauders, and her mother was nailed to a pyre during a witch-hunt.   Kaelira survived by turning feral—picking up a blade in her early teens and leading other orphans in raids against soldiers, brigands, and slavers alike. By the age of sixteen, she was already known as the “Red Wolf” of the frontier. Her fury burned hotter than her mercy, and though she fought for survival, her vengeance against all oppressors became legendary.  

The Road of Blood (438–447 PR)

  Kaelira became a mercenary, joining companies who sought coin in endless wars. But she was different—where others fought for pay, she fought for slaughter. Every battle left her hungrier, every kill left her emptier. She carved her way into warlord ranks, only to betray them when her rage outgrew their orders.   Her infamy caught the attention of priests of forbidden gods. When captured in 447 PR by Handdite cultists, instead of resisting, she laughed—claiming she had already been waiting for their call.  

Becoming Urmbrik’s Champion (447 PR)

  Kaelira was taken in chains to the Wastes of Flesh, a ritual site where bones and crimson crystals bled from the ground. There, she was forced into combat against horrors stitched from corpses and sinew. Dozens of prisoners died screaming, but Kaelira thrived—her rage turned the trial into carnage.   At the climax, she fell upon her knees not in defeat, but in defiance, screaming: "If there is a god of blood and war—let him feed me more to kill!"   Urmbrik answered.   Her flesh twisted, her heart beat with molten rage, and her blood ran black with his power. Her armor fused to her body, her sword became a shard of bone and iron, and she rose as the Bloodbound—Urmbrik’s chosen Champion.   Now – Servant of Urmbrik and the God Hands   Kaelira Veythar marches at the head of Urmbrik’s legions in the Realms of Flesh and Bone. She is not only a warrior, but a banner—her presence causes barbarian tribes, pit fiends, and Urmbrik-spawn to rally as one.   Her duties include:   Leading the Blood Trials: overseeing mortal aspirants who wish to join Urmbrik’s horde. Few survive.   The Butcher of Sanctuaries: desecrating temples of other gods, impaling priests upon crimson crystals.   The Hand’s War Herald: Kaelira’s warcries are said to echo across planes, calling Urmbrik’s demons to battle.   In the God Hands’ hierarchy, she embodies the face of endless rage. Where Geardaz deceives and Zonid manipulates, Kaelira annihilates.   Her vow is simple, whispered in every conquest: "Flesh is weak. Rage is truth. In Urmbrik’s name, I will drown the world in red."
