Factol Terrance
Peace via fraud is unacceptable.Terrance is much less bitter than most of the Athar. He wants to teach everyone the truths he see's but he doesnt go out of his way to do so he just does it casually as he passes through. Raised the second son to a wealthy family, he was instilled into the church of Mishakal as a healer, where he lived comfortably, until one day he awoke and realised everything he had accomplished from life was down to his own intellect and natural ability. Mishakal, although active in conversation with him, never instilled him with anything he couldn't just do himself, and while he still admired the power Mishakal had, he no longer revered her as divine. When he joined the Athar he became popular because of his quiet and serene yet modest mannerisms. Then he showed a prowess in drawing power through meditation and from the "Great unknown" the one thing that the priests of the Defiers worship. This allowed him to quickly rise through the ranks. He is friendly with Factol Ambar of the Godsmen, he admires his compassion and lack of self centeredness that most believers have. They often work together on some initiatives due to their similar beliefs He pities Factol Pentar of the Doomguard but sees her as an enemy. She personifies the passion for extremes that he despises. As well as their factions not seeing eye to eye on any points. The epidemic of random violence she seeks likely would dispose the populace to lean harder on their false gods, moving them ever further from the Athar’s blessed self-sufficiency.- Factol Terrance on the Harmonium
