Route Rouge

Route Rogue is the main vein of the land of Plaisir, hence the name, and was established in the 3rd century AD, very early in the history of the land. This nearly 3000km long route stretches all the way from Chambéry in the north to Bramafurtki in the south and is no doubt the fastest way to travel between the north and south of Plaisir. All along the route are placed Inns with eating and sleeping facilities, horses and facilities for these. This makes it possible to rest well and change horse each night making it possible for experienced riders, use to the trip, to travel up to 100-150 km a day, sometimes taking the whole journey in less than 3 weeks. This service can become quite expensive since the person has to pay at each inn for accommodation and rental of a horse. However, Senators can in special cases decree a Royal Permit for certain individuals to travel the whole route for free. Since it is essentially the Inn owners that pay for the trip, and the senators want the route to stay, it is done rarely and the owners are often compensated for some of the expenses by the senator. Normally this trip takes between 1 and 3 months by horse, depending on how often you want to change and an experienced hiker can probably do it in less than 100 days on foot.
