Mandataire

Also known as Ambassadors are the word used for Senate-recognised official representatives. The Mandataire de Plaisir will always be the official Mandataire of Plaisir and is an indestructible title in Plaisir. Being a Mandataire is a position of great respect and importance and any foreign Mandataire will always be granted honour, a meeting with the Senate and safe passage into Plaisir. The Senate can vote to create or remove any indestructible permanent or temporary Mandataire positions, foreign or domestic, and also votes for all foreign Mandataires. Any domestic Mandataire, permanent or temporary, are always granted a seat in the Senate with full voting rights and the Mandatarire de Plaisir will always have the deciding vote in case of a tie. The Mandataire are also unique in the sense that the person is elected democratically by all people of age that they represent. When the Senate creates a Mandataire title, it also decides how often elections will occur. Normally this is every 10th years (as it is the case with the Mandataire de Plaisir), but it is entirely up to the Senate to decide.  

History of Mandataires

There was originally only one domestic Mandataire, but due to the increased struggle in the southern areas, the Senate voted in favour of a second domestic Mandataire in 772 AD. This position was given the title Mandataire de Południe in respect of the southern traditions and has the responsibility to represent the regions, traditions and interests of southern Plaisir. Mandataire de Plaisir is of course still the official representative of all of Plaisir.
