l'Ille

The island of l'Ille is the largest island of Plaisir and lies in the north-western corner of the country. The largest city of the island is Lyrié and lies in the very centre of the island on the border of the forest. A well-constructed and maintained road leads from the islands southern harbour-town Istres to the island's capital and sees its fair share of traffic every day.   The island is mainly visited due to the great enchanted forest that covers more than half of the island but also has a relatively large fishing industry and is often used for international trade due to its convenient placement and efficient and large harbour. Many explorers, scholars, hermits, priests and alike go here to try and find the secrets the forest hold. The ones that return from their trip always have stories to tell.   Despite the solitary location of the island many who go there decide to stay due to the islands relative high wealth and balanced naturistic lifestyle. Many of the greatest people in Plaisir have decided to spend their later years on this island, away from the politics and chaos of the mainland.
