The Hexagon
The Hexagon is a collection of the artisan's guilds in Roekenpercstone. The six major guilds are the collective ruling class in Roekenpercstone, each having a chosen Grandmaster Artisanal which represents their respective guild in council and assembly. The Hexagon's respective guilds has been active in Roekenpercstone since spring 9 QC (609 SR), with margin depending on the guild, shortly after the Gray Skull's fall. After the Hexagon's creation they gradually gained political power eventually befitting a government-like role in 63 QC (663 SR).
After almost half a century of the guilds ruling over Roekenpercstone, during which time they, especially the heads of the guilds, amassed troves of wealth while the lower classes grew poorer by the day, and soon two decades of escalating protests, the guilds came together again to avoid another revolution. This time the guilds decided to give up all contol over Roekenpercstone and as expected the city quickly fell into anarchy, and after hardly two weeks of increased crime, uncertainty, and general chaos, the guilds stepped back up to power following citizen request after common folk realising the stability of governance. A week later the guilds assembled once more to fashion a government system, this would later come to be known as the first Hexagon assembly.
History
After the overthrow of the Gray Skulls, one of the revolutionary leaders, Dulmunli Underfoot, founded the Infrastructure Guild and others would soon follow suit, amassing a total of 23 artisan's guilds. Following a disagreement between Franknoot Smoobkam and Banathor Brimalsen on who should have the right to make jewellery, Lathaerion Neriphine voiced his guilds discontent about Willa Roughthumb's guild and when a alcoholic bevrage should be considered a liquid medicine. Later when further artisans voiced their dissatisfactions, Dulmunli organised an assembly and, with help from Sheiy Anakalavi, essentially forced the guilds to attend. The assembly took place on (D18 M10 Y9 QC) in the Carpenter Guild's warehouse. The meeting took place over two days, two discussion meetings took place being several hours each and a decision was made the following day, agreeing to converge the guilds into six major guilds to avoid further disagreements. After almost half a century of the guilds ruling over Roekenpercstone, during which time they, especially the heads of the guilds, amassed troves of wealth while the lower classes grew poorer by the day, and soon two decades of escalating protests, the guilds came together again to avoid another revolution.
