The Mead Hall

Explorers and treasure seekers have traveled through the Applescarn Mountain Range in hopes of finding artifacts or lost history from the Prime World. If one digs carefully, one may find a piece of lore previously lost, such as the Mead Hall.   The Mead Hall is a small, ancient building recently discovered in the western region of Applescarn Mountains. Mountain folk and even a few citizens in Cora Valley were told stories about the Mead Hall, and believed it was lost to history.   The half-dwarf, half-cambion Lados Silvertail discovered the hall during a hiking trip. Lados used his magic to call his friends to his location and the group spent the next three days exploring the Hall.   Most of the structure is intact, with the wooden walls and ceiling still in prime condition. The giantkin Stolkan Glimmeraxe, one of Lados’ friends, believed the Mead Hall acted as a shrine to the Titans of the Prime World before the Pandemonium conflict forced the Ancient Ones to bring Pinegaard to the Fey Realms.   Lados and Stolkan note there are tomes left intact, as well as runes scattered throughout the walls that once read invoked ancient magic not familiar to the fey world. They sent letters to mages in Arcania, requesting a team of rune experts to investigate the site. The Rune Guild purchased the Mead Hall from Lados before embarking on their investigation.   Through investigation, the Rune Guild learned the Mead Hall contained the essence of an ancient blood god whose power could drain all life in the region. The Guild decided to close off the Mead Hall pending further investigation.   The Guild’s occupation of the Mead Hall didn’t last long as the cult leader Azael Ymirseer and his followers murdered the guild members stationed at the Hall and occupied it. Azael hoped to use the ancient magic for himself and his followers to eradicate vampires. The magic turned Azael into a demon who fell under the control of the vampire Seymor Archibold.   Members of the Silverflame Agency seized the Mead Hall from Azael and removed the cult’s presence. The Mead Hall is under the occupation of The Flight.
