The Redfields-Anguant
While the original name of Phodael's biggest continent is Anguant, it is better known as the Redfields, so-called because of the dreaded Scarlet Order that rules the continent.
The Redfields was once a lush, beautiful continent with pristine rivers and deep green forests, until the Scarlet Order arrived soon after Sunfall. As the lands started to die and the plants started to wither, the Scarlet Order started digging underground for Virynum, which would light up the Flame City all during Sunfall until the next Sunrise.
The current geography of the Redfields is a barren wastelands, the Sa'ndu'ne desert in the Redfield's core, surrounded by the De'ckni'th mountains. The Flame City, capital of the Redfields, sits on top of the tallest mountain in the Hi'hi'il mountain range, illuminated by the constant light that is expelled from Virynum. The ruler of the Red Order, Duchess Nivavai, has uncontrolled power over everything in the Redfields. She rules with her council, consisting of 5 elected individuals (although Nivavai picks the canidates, so the citizens do not really have a choice) and her sister, Mikolo. Although normally they work together to further their reach and profit more, the Duchess' tactics of pushing their citizens to the breaking point to mine Virynum has created tension within the Council. Many believe (and hope) that Mikolo is plotting with the other Council members to dethrone her sister.
