    The Leaf Age
    Era beginning/end

After the calamity of the Floodbath, Incontinence was devastated. The lesser gods had done their best to protect their followers, saving many beasts and beastkin from a watery fate. The elemental armies were not so lucky. Forsaken by their gods, the few that remained were forced to retreat to distant lands, unable to return to their realm. The land began to recover as new and exciting people arrived, the emotionals, whose only intent was to survive so they avoided the beastkin anyway. New life sprang from the mountains as well, sturdy creatures with creative ingenuity. The gods who remained settled down with their people, teaching them all they knew and giving them gifts of knowledge and supernatural ability. After nearly three centuries, the people of Incontinence were getting back on their feet, and societies began to interact and expand. The gods, pleased with their work chose to enter dormancy, so that their presences could no longer plague their people with unusual side effects and dangers.

    The Human Invasions
    Military action

Sometime after a supposedly weak species had made its appearance, a young man from their culture started growing in popularity. He was a vicious advocate of human life and superiority and hated that his people were seen as weak (although the world merely saw them as a fledgling species, newly blossomed and gaining its footing), and began leading larger and larger groups of people to join together and prove to the other races how strong they could be. This resulted in a human faction the size of an impressive army full of violent murderers who had learned the art of swift or overwhelming death in order to overcome their "weakness". That individual, named Astor, led his people in many battles across the land, spreading his ideology to other humans, and conquering other peoples with extreme prejudice. These included in order, the Oroks, The Elzari, The Dwarves, The Gnomes, The Goliaths, and finally the Drackonis, an attempt that cost the human army dearly. The human armies retreated to their kingdom of Astorel, where they mysteriously went dormant, until they were raided by an organization of all the peoples they had pillaged.

Gods are awakened, beasts created, ancient secrets disturbed to take on the human armies. Much of the land was rent asunder, and many areas warped beyond prior recognition. Storms, created by the chaotic energies of the awoken gods plague the land in such severity and frequency that they make life for the average citizen hard.
