Promise Stone
When the old humans made an important promise they would find a beautiful stone or have one crafted by a stone mason. They would swear upon this stone to keep their promise until death. Some carried these stones around with them, others would create shrines out of them. If they broke their promise, they were forced to break their stone, making it clear to the world they could not be trusted.
