It uses a soul to strengthen a different spell. capacity
Side/Secondary Effects
The caster will have a backlash that damages their soul. The effect of which isn't know until they die, where their soul will become visible, then shatter. It can even be seen to be worse the more the person was a practitioner of soul magic.
Manifestation
The one having it cast on them have explained it as being pulled away from your body, and feeling that it's a bad thing. But its actually not painful.
Range
It is like all off shoots of blood magic. Requires touch, but no tool.
Level
It is hard to be able to learn to see souls, let alone use them. When you use it on someone you have to fight all of the defences, making it hard use. It's easier to simply kill them.
Applied Restriction
Like with all forms of taking magic from somewhere else, you dont get much. Made worse that it needs to be living, and the living has wildly varying magical capacity. It's largely only worth using this on humans.
