The Agora

The Agora in ancient times was the center of diplomacy and discussion in ancient Greece, where politics, diplomacy, religion, philosophy, and legal matters were heard. The markets and capital building of this agora both reinforces the concept of discussion, and in some eyes silences it. The first thing you would see is the Acropolis, standing above every building in Athens Proper, its beauty and magnificence is awe inspiring. The home to the temples of the divine kingdoms  

Notable Landmarks:

  The Acropolis: The massive natural structure with man made structure built upon to honor the gods. It towers hundreds of feet above Athens, and is reminder that gods grant the blessing of the Crossroads. It is through them that life here continues to grow and prosper, honor and worship the gods, and you will receive the blessing of the gods.   Palace of Wisdom:  The Palace of Athena Goddess of Wisdom and the headquarters of the Order of the Owl. It is a rectangular complex with beautiful marble walls, and its Wisdom Guard is known to be some of the best warriors of the land. The courtyard has many of the Golden Apple trees, and there is a beautiful fountain of Iris at the center of the Courtyard. The palace itself is off limits to anyone not specifically summoned by Athena, and to be summoned there is can be a great honor or a great cause for despair. The divine kings and queens are not allowed entrance without her permission, and the palace itself is subject to discourse from the Athenian Republic. They believe it should be a Palace foe the rightful mortal ruler of Athens, and Athena has the Acropolis.   The Celestial Iliaia: The courtroom of gods, the gates of the Courtroom are accessed through the Palace of Athena.  Behind the large marble doors is interpalanar building, that cannot by mortals or gods accept through the entrance.  There Athena, Themis, Styx, and Hekate listen to gods complaints or crimes, once all parties have made thier points, the four dilerate and make a decision.  There are very few instances where this court has been used.   Office of Intellect: Phoibe office located on the west side of the Palace of Wisdom, is home to the Intellect Guards and the Goddess of Intellect herself. She is the right hand of Athena and helps monitor the workings of Athens. This small temple looks more like an government building, and is made of marble and gold. She is responsible for working with the other factions and Athenian government officials. She handles infrastructure and the chamber of commerce.   The Crystal Ball:  Argued to be the best enchanter shop in all of the Crossroads, the Crystal Ball is home to a demi-titan name Meraki, he is the son of Asteria and a unknown patron.  He found his calling in enchantment at a young age, and has put in the work to become a master of the trade.  Considered to an Arch Magos as well as a savant, Meraki spends most of his time working.  Hop   The Promethean: The Promethean is a place of innovation, it is ran by the Prodigy Biaan, and his Apprentice Kashta.  They are the forefront of rare ores smithing and tinkering, the shop is a made of reflective glass in the shape of a pyramid, the rare metals used to form the skeleton of the building.  This is one of the more expensive shops, because they charge you for distracting them of their research. Prodigy Biaan handles the simpler task, where Kashta is pused to keep perfecting is trade.   The Dr's Guild: The headquarters of the Dr's Guild and home to Asclepius himself. This is the greatest hospital and healers guild in the realm, and runs like a modern hospital treating mortals and immortals alike. There are very few things that can not be treated at this location, and the one that are not able to be treated find a free ward available to him. The building as 4 floors and they are described by the ailment.:
  • Dr's Floor: The floor for known and simple cures and remedies.
  • Asclepios Ward: This is the floor that treats ailments that take time to recover from.
  • Apollon's Embrace: The 3rd floor for incurable and untreatable ailments.
  • Harmony and Peace: The floor for contagious and untreatable ailments.
The Platinum Dragon: The faction headquarters of Grave and the Justice Bringers. This complex is more like sanctuary made of platinum, this small castle is a sight to behold. The massive dragon statue in the courtyard glistens and water flows from its mouth producing rainbow into a fountain of Iris. Being the preferred environment for Grave, he knows most any creature that enters the domain of the Justice Bringers. People that are not invited will see the platinum dragon statue come alive and defend home of this famed bounty hunter.
Location: Center of Athens near the Acropolis.   Population: 75,000   Housing: The majority of homes in this districts are apartments and condos, but some of the bigger more protected homes are for officials and celebrities.   They all surround the center or capital square.   Shops:
  • The Palace of Weavers:  Ennaeus son of Beatrix runs a shop dedicated to weaving craft.
  • The Spirit of Spirits:   Nikaia daughter of Dionysus run a very elegant wine and spirits shop and brewery.
  • A Pip of Magic: A high end magic shop ran by Pip of the Half Pints Faction
  • Discord's Lament:  An assassin based shop that offers a variety of poisons and weapons to aid the job of an Assassin.  Ran by Kefka Virtue of Courage.
  • The Pride: A weapon and armor smith ran by a centaur named Proxenos
  • The End: A nice tavern and inn ran by a oriental woman named Tenzen.
