Thikki Redstone

Thikki Redstone was, quite literally, born under a circus canvas that smelled of lamp oil and days-old food. Her first cries were drowned out by a cheering crowd as her father, Glendil the Great, performed a disappearing act that almost worked too well. From that day on, her family joked that she entered the world mid-performance and never really left the stage. "Redstone's Circus of Curiosities" was more than a traveling circus; it was a chaotic kingdom that all manner of misfits called home. It was a found family of performers, tinkers, and mystics wandering the dunes of the Masoud Desert.   Thikki's mother was a reliable powerhouse and a workaholic. She was a trained alchemist who doubled as a medic and a teacher. She taught Thikki discipline, though it hardly mattered when more interesting variables existed. Her father, on the other hand, thrived on improvisation and illusion. Between these extremes, Thikki learned to find magic in the cracks between chemistry and chaos. Her older sister, Nishka, was a fortune teller. She could sell mysteries with a single glance, and while Thikki admired her flair, she thought Nishka took herself too seriously.   The love they had for one another was as fiery as their bickering, though neither would admit it. It was a constant cycle of affection, teasing, and dramatic fallout that put the circus performers to shame. Their brother left the circus when Thikki was still a sprout. He traded the chaos for a quiet life as a watchmaker. His letters to her are full of half-finished thoughts and pressed desert flowers to remind her of home. Thikki saves every single one and reads them often.   Thikki herself was never destined to be a performer; she took pride in working behind the scenes. She handled the pyrotechnics, the dyes that altered a fire-breather's glow, and the mixtures that turned ordinary powder into amazing smoke shows. She wanted to understand how things worked, and with her mother's help, she began learning through alchemy. Even science couldn't explain everything, though, and that's when Thikki started to dig for occult knowledge. Her mother tried to snuff out that interest, but her daughter's fascination wasn't dissuaded.   Curiosity became an obsession when she befriended Tarka, a sharp-tongued, nomadic witch who occasionally traveled with the caravan. They spent many sleepless nights dissecting superstitions and experimenting with "harmless" rituals. It was because of those rituals that Thikki started to exhibit psychic abilities. One night, during a failed experiment, she saw something that she couldn't explain. Flashes of an expanse that was nothing, and yet everything, and a battle she couldn't keep up with. When she woke up, her memories of it were foggy, and she didn't believe it was real.   After meeting Aeki Ferus and Niorah, Thikki’s dormant powers stirred again; what began as curiosity ended in revelation. Together, they faced malicious creatures of the Feywild and learned what people were willing to lose to have one final moment with a loved one. The taste of danger only encouraged Thikki to keep adventuring, even when her family wanted her to come home. After all, the world still had secrets worth burning her fingers for.

• Feels affection in practical ways, like repairing someone's gear or remembering their favorite snack.

Thimble has a single familiar named Vinny. Vinny is a black and white spotted rat with a marking over his left eye that's shaped like a heart.
