Tales of Dragons
Summary
Old Wilder legends say, that there is a land of dragons in the far distant north of the world. And legends say that every hundred years, one would come south, to do battle with the greatest warrior humanity had to offer.
Historical Basis
The historical basis is largely unknown, as many wilder legends are spread from word of mouth, and the rest are in carved sagas and runestones, which famously embellish everything.
Spread
The legend is known by many if not all Wilder people, and those of their ancestry. The legend is still a large part of their culture, even if no dragon sightings have ever been confirmed. The Wilder King, the king which represents the tribes to the rest of the world, has a right hand man, known as a Dragoon. The job of the Dragoon is to be the warrior able to slay the dragon when it comes, and this tradition is still alive today.
