The Prince Elect is voted upon by each of the city's Guilds/Unions. The largest being the fisherman's Union, which has been accumulating political power behind the scenes.
Defences
One of the more defenseless cities in the Empire, it hasn't seen true war in hundreds of years due to its location.
Industry & Trade
The largest industry is Fishing, as well as Shipping and Trade coming in from the Chu Islands.
Infrastructure
large shipyards and drydocks, the Emperor's personal ship is housed here. As well as cobblestone streets, and gas lamps.

The Fisherman's Union is the largest association in the city, and has branched out to include dockworkers, sailors, and even lamplighters.
History
The city was founded in 1297 by Earl Dogswater. Quickly people began to hear about the incredible amount of fish off the coast here, so the town grew rapidly in to a fishing boomtown.

Georgian or Early Colonial style, somewhat like Boston
Geography
On a low floodplain, the city is remarkably flat.
Natural Resources
An abundance of fish, as well as a few sheep farms outside the city limits.
