Sebastien von Ryland
A member of the hereditary House von Ryland, Sebastien von Ryland would choose to remain in the fleet after his mandatory five year enlistment. A student of the Terran Imperial fleet, he was considered by most of his superiors as bookish yet capable, rising quickly through the ranks of the peacetime fleet due to his tactical skill in simulations. At the start of the Enmalex Wars he was a Rear Admiral assigned to 1st fleet, stationed at Terra. He would be placed in command of the Terran Defense Force when it was absorbed by Fleet Admiral Hastings. He would rapidly be promoted to Fleet Admiral by Hilt Mark Thomason and command the Terran front. With Fleet Admirals Urakos and Tlekdoros he would plan the assault on Pergamia which ended the First Enmalex War. Hilt Andrew Thomason would appoint him Grand Admiral of the fleet as one of his first acts in office, tasking him with building and training a new fleet capable of fighting the Enmalex in their own territory.
