Enmalex Ships

Pavers of the Way

The first ships used in any Enmalex operation are the Pavers of the Way. These are simple, fast attack warships that are designed by the Orlithan Legacy to be inexpensive to build and maintain. These are by far the most common ships in the Enmalex fleet and spearhead their operations. The lack of jump systems significantly reduces construction time and cost, as well as increasing the power reserves available. As they are primarily used against lower technology civilizations, the Pavers of the Way rely on heavy ablative armor, effective against common kinetic weapons. They are typically armed with railguns, particle beams, and missile batteries. The design of the Pavers of the Way is rarely updated as there is little need, and many have been in service for multiple operations as they are withdrawn and repaired.      

Heavy Assault Units

Mistaken as World Destroyers by the Mykentian Republic, the heavy assault units of the Enmalex are designed to penetrate deep into enemy fleets or fortified systems. They feature both jump engines and possess the ability to generate artificial wormholes, and with their vast energy reserves are often used as support ships. In addition to the same armament scheme as the Pavers of the War, albeit in greater numbers of weapons, the heavy assault units possess a dark energy powered EMP generator. Used at full power, this system is capable of overloading and disabling electrical systems and power grids across an entire planet in a single burst.      

Main Fleet

The Enmalex Main Fleet consists of heavy battle line units, heavily armored and designed to wade into the center of enemy fleet formations. They include multi-barreled heavy railguns capable of firing a variety of ordnance, as well as missile batteries. The ships of the Main Fleet also possess jump systems to allow them to be rapidly redeployed along the front as needed. Unlike the Pavers of the Way, the ships of the Main Fleet utilize dark energy as their primary power source, further increasing their effectiveness and power reserves.      

True Fleet

The ships of the True Fleet are the only ships designed and constructed exclusively by the Enmalex. These ships are designed to respond to Omnos ships and technology. The primary weapon consists of two dark energy projectors which emit arcs of dark energy in focused lightning like bursts. These are drawn toward the electromagnetic field generated by a spooled jump drive. As most ships keep their drives continuously rotating, this means the Enmalex do not have to aim the primary weapon. The True Fleet also possesses internally mounted railguns and multiple missile arrays. As they are designed to resemble the Enmalex themselves, the tentacle like appendages may be articulated to enclose small craft or to tow damaged ships. Following the First Enmalex War, the ships of the True Fleet would be retrofitted with energy refracting armor derived from Mykentian samples.
