Trivia

Met Nikola Tesla at the 1889 Paris Exposition, where he described Tesla as "the greatest man to walk the Earth since Jesus."
His family despised his first wife Victoria because she was educated and not afraid to speak her mind.
He was the first multi-lingual Thomason, being fluent in English, French, and Mandarin, and able to converse in German, Spanish, and Arabic.
An early adopter of technology, he purchased the first car in Birch Harbor, a 1902 Cadillac Runabout, as well as the first airplane, a Nieuport II in 1911.
